06 Gs300 Bluetooth music streaming module install
Hi All,
I recently bought a Bluetooth module (apps2car BTI) for streaming music and it did not come with a Y splitter cable. The module plugs into the CD changer slot.
If I unplug the CD changer cable from the back of the head unit in the car and plug this module in instead would the stereo even turn on? I am OK with not having CD
changer functionality. Is this doable or do I absolutely need the Y-splitter cable? does anyone have experience installing one of these? if so I would greatly appreciate your
input on this.
Thanks
PS: I do not have the NAV or ML in my head unit.

I installed the apps2car Lightning cable adapter last Saturday (it's been working great so far). I don't think I've used the CD changer once, but I did the install with a Y splitter – since it's only $10, I figured that it was better to have it and never use the CD changer, versus wanting to listen to a CD or DVD-A and not being able to/having to take apart the dash again to install the Y splitter.
I don't expect there will be any technical issues if you do leave the changer disconnected

Glad I could help
I used this DIY for the install: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...s-edition.html
The only difference for you is that you won't need to remove the panel at the bottom of the center console box
Oh and be sure to secure the CD changer cable so that it doesn't rattle around
