Navigation screen doesn't work
 

Hi all,

I know a lot of IS owners have experienced a non working nav unit but haven't come across too many GS owners with the same issue. I have a 2007 GS350 nav unit that doesn't respond to touch. First tried a shop I found from Yelp reviews who fixed IS cars with the same issue and says he did a few GS cars as well and tried to give him try. He did the circuit writer pen seen on other posts or youtube videos but it didn't really resolve it much. I have some touch which I didn't have at all in the past but pretty much no response. He says I need a new digitizer but want to know if anyone else has fixed this issue or replaced the screen or entire unit.

I also took the nav unit out myself but couldn't figure out how to remove the cassette player that is attached to the nav unit if I were to even consider getting another nav unit like on ebay, etc.

I'm in Southern California (San Diego) if anyone can help or direct me to a person or shop that can repair or replace?? Thanks!

I'm on the same boat with my 07 gs350 rwd, this sucks big time. Hopping someone can help us and pretty sure there'll be more like us coming.

Mine died on me as well last month.
GS300 with 120000km.

I just ordered 1 of this. Pass it to a good audio/lcd/navi accessory shop to help me replace.
Im from far east and lack the expertise to remove the HU myself.
Hopefully will work. Fingers crossed.

Eric, any news on your fix?

Hi, just rec'd the touch screen Digitiser from supplier yesterday. Sent in to an experienced Audio/Accessory shop to replace as im not good with my hands. Will know next week if it works. Will update accordingly.

This is the product that I used. This is the same that many high dollar repair shops use. My impression of it, is very good its lasted me several years now. The only issue I have with it is the screen will get a bit clouder, kinda like when you put a screen protector over your phone. Other then that its like oem!

The seller kindly applied the 3 or 5mm double sided tape around the edge. But I had to request it! The job is super easy and I basically followed videos on youtube for IS. Its basically the same concept just slightly different.

Found one on ebay, matches the one I installed. It has matching HST text on the tag. Its been several years ever since I installed this digitizer, with zero issues.
