i am looking at a 2010 GS 350 with 94k miles for $16k. Clean carfax. all maintainance done at lexus dealership.

I'm looking at history and I keep seeing something about them replacing brake pads, is this just a normal maintainennce ? should I buy this vehicle? I need some input from you guys. I'm so nervous of buying a lemon vehicle

That is all normal stuff. No worries there.

My car had new F/R pads and rotors at 48K. Fronts I can understand, rears seem a bit soon. Maybe Lexus adds rear bias to reduce front end dive? Just guessing.

interesting, because i'm looking at a 2010 GS 350, but its going for $18k with 94k miles as well. Maybe i should ask to lower the price.

I really want to pick up a car this week, so i'm gunning for this one. Wish me luck

The one im looking at only has GPS, and thankfully ventilated seats (the feature I want the most.).
I will also try to bargain it down another $1k as well, since it's pretty high mileage.
I am still looking at other cars, I keep on seeing people somehow still able to purchase these models with such low mileage....

It's a large Lexus. A not-insubstantial number of them are bought by old farts *cough* who don't put many miles on them. When I was shopping I was looking at Japanese luxury cars in general and was able to find Lexus GS and LS, and Acura RL, with low miles fairly easily. (Infiniti not so much.) The real trick is to find low mileage *and* low price.

Which should I go for
2010 GS with 94k miles for $16k
I see all services and checkups done at Lexus through their history. 1 owner.
Or
2010 GS with 47k miles for $20k?
Not much history recorded maintainence by Lexus or carfAx (was a leased, 2 owners).

This afternoon I just purchased 2009 GS 350 AWD with 63,000 miles for $20,500 flat out of the door.
I got hooked with AWD since I bought a 2005 RX 330 AWD 2 years ago. Love it on the snow when we go up to Mammoth mountain during winter trip.

And I still have my good ol' 1995 SC400 for my daily. I'm gonna sell it soon. It's about time. I just can't stand it anymore driving with a firm Stance coilover and a low profile tires. Maybe I am just getting old.
