Although true for the most part it is a little over the top. I would gather that most of the ppl on this board are not rich and to say someones stupid for financing a car is just stupid. Financing a car that you can't afford at a high interest rate is not wise though. If the collapse of a couple of years ago was any indication most of the country was living on credit not to mention our own government.

Depending on your line of work, you may find that a lease much simpler to account for and expense than to track asset depreciation/book value and account out of warranty repair. The lease may actually be the more favorable expense type.

But... you are free to take your financial advice from youtube or whatever other infomercial you choose and keep making definitive decrees.

I will not even go into the advantages of financing at a low rate in order to keep liquid assets available for higher return investments... thanks to the low interest rates these days you may find credit to be an excellent means to grow net worth.... but you can always do as the youtube guy says

well since i stop financing things my life has turned right around for the better ,all my paychecks go to me ,i dont have to blame the goverment or anyone for my choices,but i respect all what you guy want to do its your choice
