2007 gs 350 awd stutter around 20mph
I notice it happens driving between 20-30 mph and accelerating very slowly. Rpm around 1500. The tranny changes gears up to to 3rd or 4th gear and the vibration starts. If i accelerate, it goes away. During quick acceleration I never notice this vibration. Also if I drive the car in manual and go thru the gears i never notice the stutter. The problem feels like driving a manual car in a higher gear at a low speed and need to down shift.
Did some research and can't seem to find the exact problem or fix if there is one.

what if you're coasting at 20-30 no acceleration?
are you sure the vibration is not from unbalanced tires? I've had wheels vibrate at 40mph only, because one of the weights fell off, also went away if I accelerated.
If it's the transmission, try pulling the battery terminal to reset the car.
how many miles do you have?

I have this phenomena as well. It will also randomly not shift correctly from 1 -> 2 when stopped and go. It will accelerate normally up to shifting range and then all the sudden jump up and eventually catch second.

I have 64k... I brought into the Lexus Dealer and the news I received was not good.. they said its my torque converter in the transmission assembly so it needs a new transmission (6k)

At how many miles did you guys start experiencing it?
After doing alot of research I found that it seems to be common in the 07 gs350, some have replaced the transmission and it sounds like some have tried the transmissions ecu and both had luck so I'm taking it to one more mechanic to see what they come up with.

Same here 20-30mph feels like it wants to shift but and then it finally shifts really weird... but when i'm harder on the gas it goes away, or going manual mode. As ES300D said, I do get 1>2 shift kind of imporper when going about 5mph like it doesn't know what gear to be in... like its 2nd then oh not enough power? shift to 1st... kinda not smooth.... I'm going to try reset ecu by removing negative terminal... I heard theres another one where u remove the fuse for the tranny but i forgot where it is...

Have the same issue, and now I know why the previous owner sold this car and why he did it after having just had the trans fluid flushed at the dealer. At the time I bought the car I thought it was strange to do that right before you sold it, but also thought "great for me", now it makes perfect sense of course. Ticks me off to be honest, I wouldn't sell somebody a car that needed a $6K+ transmission.
Out of desperation, I bought an additive called 'Dr. Transmission instant shudder fix". It's a 2 oz. tube of whatever that a lot of people have had some good luck with. Normally I am not one to buy rebuild in a can, but I am desperate here so I will put that in this week and let you know how it works. It is designed specifically for torque converter issues like we have.
Mine does the exact same thing as yours...shudder in 4th gear only during slower or lighter acceleration, that I can overcome with more gas or manually shifting. Sucks.

A few key points to note are that the vibration is very brief, any where from mild to medium, never felt above 35 mph, under light acceleration only and appears to be coming from the left front (drive wheel)...makes we wonder if this could be a bad mount or loose connection associated with the front differential/ transfer case or a bad front axle...others please chime in if you sense the vibration in a different location.
