I'm hesitant to post because it may just be due to my naivete, but in regards to the Hankook V12s everyone seems to recommend here:

I recently had 3 of my Hankook V12 evos fail in exactly the same manner within 800 miles of each other, all were put on new and had less than 22,000 miles on them when some internal belts broke and they started experiencing serious tread separation. No blowouts, luckily, but I think it did damage to my front-end as it was somewhat hard to tell the difference between crappy road surfaces and wobbling tires at 80mph in long stretches of highway driving (though, it was obvious at 20mph). The tires that failed had 4/32 or 5/32 remaining in tread. Granted, this was along a 1000 mile road trip between Miami and Dallas in July, >90 deg. F, which I know can bring out problems. Or, maybe it was that the car lived in Miami for several years -dry rot?

The tires were just under 3 years old, and when I took it to my (new) dealer in Dallas, they said the Hankooks were 'cheap' tires and I shouldn't expect much more than 20k out of them - particularly on a high performance car like the 3GS. Seemed a bit odd to me, since I pretty much grandmother-drive my 3GS 350.

I ended up buying a new set of Falken Ziex ZE329s, they seem fine for the last 1000 miles, but I can't particularly recommend them due to inexperience, either.

I had good luck with my V12 on my S2000. a few track days, only last 14k miles for me. on my second set. no issues. I have Falken Azenis PT722 on my lexus, one of them had tread separation. Falken warranty the tire. They didn't give me a hard time at all

how is hankook V12 EVO as DD?

i have Conty DWS now and **** are noisy after 20k miles, they are down to the wear edge now and i can't wait to get rid of them.

I had the Hankook for 2 months on my old G35 and i love them as far as handling goes, but didn't drive long enough to know how their noise goes, since G35 are pretty damn noisy itself.

I agree on the noisy Conti DWS especially after 25K miles.

Recommend Michelin Primacy MXV4 or MXM4.

Also like Bridgestone Serenity.
