I got my OEM sparkplugs this Saturday and decided to change the sparkplug. PO changed at 80K miles and now my 3GS has 135k mi.

What I found was the sparkplug that was in my 3GS was Autolite XP sparkplugs, not OEM. Changed all 6 right away and boy, what a difference in smoothness in acceleration!

 

Smh....some people....you had some bottom of the barrel junk in there...glad you got those out of there...

 

It was crazy. plug itself was not torqued right as well (loose). I am glad that is done. Now, moving onto changing all fluids in my GS!

 

cool whats the torque supposed to be on these? did you use a craftsman torque wrench? i was considering buying a cheap one at harbor fright for $9.99… please let me know. thanks

 

usually about 13 ft lbs, its not that much
