2008 GS350, Stock head unit issues..
 

Last week I purchased my 3rd Lexus in a row, 2008 GS350 and boy is she a beaut. However, the only downside is the head unit. Unfortunately, my car came with one of the head units that does not have navigation but it does have bluetooth voice (no audio). One of the first things that I went to check out to get replaced was head unit options.

Long story short, the dude told me that I cannot replace it with a double din that everything would have to be done custom and that it is a huge PITA :thumbdn: He did however suggest the below as an alternative for being able to use my Samsung Galaxy S5 (which I use for everything phone, music and navigation). There are tons of newer style head units out there that integrate with my phone but are not so friendly with my particular model.

Can anyone suggest anything? Below is what the guy suggested which after installation I am looking at spending $300 just for an add on to make my stock unit be able to play music through bluetooth.

it has been discuseed here. Nothing wrong with GROM, I had GROM in the past but quality of Vaistech is superior.

I personally use the SL3B. It has bluetooth streaming capabilities and charger port. It would be cool to have an aux cord too but the bluetooth streaming is great. excellent sound quality.
