gs300 cuts off after 10 minutes

Hello am a new member and first time owner of a lexus.

I bought a lexus gs300 and changed the transmission. the car would turn on, run for about 10 mins then shut off. I gave changed the fuel pump, the router and service the car it still does the same thing. what could the problem be?

You need to go more into detail. For example, does it turn off when it's idling, or while your driving? How does it die, is it a rough idle or does it turn off like an electrical issue? CEL on?

And if you serviced the car, the mechanic wasn't able to copy the issue your having while he had your car?

Take it to the dealer pay for an hours worth of diagnostics. You guessing and hoping to fix it will only cost you more money in the end.

I have a feeling it could be carbon buildup, as the 06's are prone to it. Lexus will rebuild the engine for free if thats your case.

Yes it turns of while idling, and if i try to switch into gear it dies to. the mechanic didn't have a clue in the beginning that's how i end up changing parts. but after joining club lexus and reading some older post am starting to think its the ecu.

is there a code? Could be a bad coil pack or igniter assembly

code 14. i am in the bahamas and the parts are so expensive. do you think i should check the ecu first.

listen, almost always when this code appears, it is a bad coil pack and not the igniter.
