Door, Year and fitment

Hi guys recently I realised my drivers door near the bottom hinge is cracked (dont know how it happened, no accidents or previous crashes, none whatsover) due to this i now have to close my door with slight force.
I have sourced out a drivers door but the door is from a 2009 Lexus 3GS.
Mine is a 2006 GS430.
I spoke to Lexus who say the door part number for my vehicle in the UK ranges from 2005 - 2007 and 2007 onwards for the facelift models.
Now the question I have is will the 2009 year 3GS door fit my 2006 model 3GS.
I can get that specific crack fixed and welded but I would rather have it replaced as due to the crack my door is now misaligned as it is pushing the bottom half of the door to push out slightly.
Thanks in advance for your inputs guys.

Personally I would fix that door as putting a new or used door with paint work is going to cost you. Remember your going to need to paint the inside, outside of the door, then front fender, and rear door to get the color to match correctly. If not you'll have a two tone silver
A good body shop should be able to set the door tab at the original spot and reweld and maybe add metal gussets for added strengthening. Even if they rewelded the door and it were to be out of adjustment, they can heat and bend the brackets to make it fit correctly.

I thought of leaving it but day by day its getting worse, now the edge is starting to clip the front wing/fender.
I got a quote from my bodyshop and am happy with the price, they said exactly what you said, paint the front wing/fender and both doors.
Its just I dont want to buy a brand new door from lexus and the cheapest door i have found is a reasonable price compared to all the others i have found but its from a 2009 3GS.
Also Ibidu1 everything you mentioned about getting it welded and having a plate put in is what my bodyshop guy said

Probably most likely caused from wind or some force swinging that door open
If the body shop is good at welding just have him fix the hinge. It would be a shame to respray a car thats not been in an accident. Say if your painter doesnt perfectly match the silver, silver is a very difficult color to match.
Think about your resale! If you only welded the hinge, something so small will not show

Going to drop the car off tomorrow to get the door welded.
Thank you
