Default New GS Owner

First let me apologize if i shouldn't have started a new thread. At the risk of sounding like an idiot i am not familiar with exactly how this goes. A brief introduction of myself....
I joined CL i want to say 10/13. At that point i had an 09 Matador Red with Cashmere interior ES 350 NO NAV Turned it in with 26000 miles(Purchased it with 14000). I liked it just wasnt fun to drive. It was smooth to drive just not FUN. About 2 weeks ago i purchased a 08 GS350 70,000 miles.. I know its a downgrade but i love this car so much better. Figure if I'm making payments might as well get something i love.
Its an experience. Its the metallic Silver with Black interior, Nav RWD.
I have questions.

1. Is there a way to have the side view mirrors fold in automatically when i lock the car ?

2. Is there a GS that has a black interior roof ? I don't understand why the just don't black out the interior.

3. Is there a NAV/ Bluetooth override for mine ? I beleive i have a 3rd Gen GS which has 5th Gen Nav.. Correct ?

4. Can anyone offer insight as to the best way to maintain the GS besides the obvious ?
Anyone have any tips or Tricks ?

Again please forgive me if this is not how im supposed to post questions.
I have never been a "car" guy but now i can see how it becomes an addiction. I'm thinking about so much i would like to do to it.
Thank you everyone.

I'd say you upgraded.... GS > ES

Unless you meant by the years.

This excellent thread recommends Seafoam. I think I'm going to try it.

Thank you for the info but it didn't work.
Keep in mind my GS does have a button to manually open and close the side views.
I wanted it to do it automatically.
Thanks again.

Vaistech probably has what you're looking for on the nav/bluetooth. I don't care about bluetooth, but I love my Vaistech unit. I don't have to push the "I agree" button anymore either.

Congrats on the upgrade and the sideview mirror mod is something I would be interested in also, but I have had no luck searching for someone who has done it already.

check your owners manual under customize section, its the smaller book. I will so it later and then post the directions on how to close the mirrors when you lock the car!
welcome to the club!
