It is a little louder than normal but that ticking is normal engine sounds. I would definitely take it in to get it looked at. My IS sounded like that for a while and I ran some injector cleaner in a full tank of gas and it quieted it down a lot. May be something to consider as well. Clogged injectors can cause them to work harder which can mean louder than usual engine noise. How is your MPG looking? Sounds like the engine runs fine but is it at peak performance

I used seafoam because I have used it in other cars and had good results. I'm sure some other people would have some other injector cleaner suggestions like 3m or some other store brand injector cleaner. Its a cheap fix if that is your issue. Just dont use too much in a short period of time. 1 bottle every 4-6 months is recommended by most

I went out of town again and then when I got there no ticking. the following morning after a couple friends and I went to eat it was there... before we left and after we got to our destination (about 10 miles)
