Depending on climates a reason some cars could consume oil is due to spark plug oil seals. I had 3 that were leaking slightly but could see this as others issues if you had several completely go out. Yes the style of head is similar in 6’s as well

Here's my 2008 GS460 JDM. Bog stock (still ), Jade Green with Black leather 1UR-FSE direct injection and love it so much. Only just figuring out lately how rare they actually are.

They look great. The 5-spoke wheels are the best wheels offered on this generation, I would really like to have them. I don't plan to buy a V8 GS because I need AWD but I would like to. They also seem to get excellent gas mileage for a V8. Chrysler V8s in comparison don't get 17 but 7 mpg in traffic.

Hahaha yea, a far cry from the good old generic V8 consumption huh, still blows me away! Averagely, with doing some roughing around short city drives and lots of idling I seem to get between 7.0 to 8.5Km/L (~16.5 - 20 MPG), on a better drive I have been getting around 8.0 - 9.0 Km/L (18.8 - 21 MPG). That is all quite solid info, not flash in the pan seen it... That's been up on the display for a while at those figures. I am yet to do a nice big drive (coming this weekend yaaay!) to see how it does on a "trip", and shall report back on that when I know

I put it down to both the D4-S injection AND the 8 speed combined, such a good setup. And now that I actually write that down, wow!!! It's WAY better than the 6cyl Ford Falcon with the 4.0L Barra engine I was driving, that was doing around 13L/100Km (~18 MPG), so on average...ish, I've traded up from 240HP odd to near 400HP on the same consumption!

That is impressive considering all of that!

Oh I forgot to mention that I'm running 98RON Pump Gas, which does not contain ethanol here (I think).

Well 2000 km plus on my trip and I have a good solid economy figure for my we beastie, and it's MUCH better than I expected. This girl never ceases to impress me the more I drive it, I am so in love with this car!

For serious up and down gorges and valleys for decent periods of time (decent altitudes up too) I never dropped below 10 km per litre and in fact was usually a flat 10.2 - 10.7 doing that. But on the cruise with lighter up and down but mostly straights and easy corners is what has really impressed me. For hundreds of kilometres up on my display it was rolling 12 km per litre, WTF, that is so impressive given it's capability at the ready! And I didn't just "cruise" around on those hills either... which also brings me to the point that I had no idea my tyre pressure warning light would come on when my tires got hot as well...

The average on the trip back which was done in one hit over around 500 km registered a flat 11.7 kilometres per litre so for you guys, that's doing roughly 35 to 38 miles per gallon average on a trip including all elevation terrains. I haven't actually figured out mpg on that one so I hope that sounds about right. Ambient air temps were averagely 5C to 10C degrees to top off the science, and for about 50 ks I registered 12.1 as per the photo but don't consider that general, that was a long flat coastline but don't want to include that in my figures as it was only for a short time.

Just wow! ❤
