Then find the bad sensor and replace it, you can clear the error code and the light will go off but come back on after you have driven about 50 miles.

Don't waste your time with a VM version of windows xp, there is a link towards the beginning of this thread which will show you how to properly install the software and drivers. I have it working fine on my 64bit windows 8.1 laptop.

I've never seen anything higher than 8.3 which is what I currently have installed. I didn't use the disk that came with my cable either due to it having an older version. Therefore the 9.1 should work fine and that's the latest version I could find on the internet.

People aren't having problems with the software it installs fine but if your drivers aren't setup properly it won't work.

Got it setup and connected to my Dell XPS 12 under Windows 8.1 64 Bit using version 8.00.

I had some issue with 9.10 that came with the CD or online with getting the key to work.

Anyhow, other than some customization stuff like turn on and off DRL etc., what else can you do with this?

Diagnose and self test each ECU. Clear DTC codes in ECUs other than the engine/emissions control (OBDII). ie diagnose a warning light will cost you $100 when out of warranty and they will make sure to take an hour to do so. It takes less than 5 minutes with this tool.

Most people pay $50-$100 for a generic OBDII scanner, This software and cable does that AND accesses all of the Toyota proprietary ECUs. I consider it a very good investment if you care to know what the problems with your car are (when you get problems)

if you need to know your problems just go to autozone and get them to read it... its free

don't even need to spend money lol

but yes this is a good system to actually pinpoint and adjust systems.

finally got this software installed and hooked up to my car, but when I try to customize the light settings the window doesn't open. The only ones that seem to open for me is tilt, air conditioning, compass calibration, and seat...anyone else having this problem? I'm just wanting to turn off my DRL.

I have a 06 gs300, if that matters

Turning on/off DRL in an 06 works, that's what I have and I didn't have any problems with that menu. The options however are specific to the car and ECU, turning off DRL may not be an option for Canadian cars.

Tried to register tpms I got off ebay but didn't work. It would have worked if I had the ID number but they already have tires mounted now. Have not tried the DRL's yet.

That's great. Can you provide details?

Worked great to disable my DRL's. I haven't gone through the steps to set it up on my 64 lappy yet, but worked fine on my 32 bit one.

I didn't see where to disable the seatbelt chime within the software - does anyone know if it's in there for 2008s?
I know there's a button sequence to do it, but I just need to satisfy my curiosity
