No, it can be done in your driveway in about 1/2 an hour and $90 in parts. It is very easy as long as you have a long socket extension. You only have to move a couple of very easy things out of the way.

At least it is not me. Great "hook up" on the rotors and pads. My dealer did me a solid a while ago. When I first got the seats were wearing. I complained that it shouldn't be that bad in a car of this cost. They agreed and replaced the seats. "New leather smell"

Anybody experience MPG drop after the recall??? My 2009 GS350 AWD got slight less MPG after the recall.... I used to get 26+ MPG... now I get about 24-25 on the same route with the same drive condition...(cruise set @ 78 mph)

Thanks

Just dropped mines off on friday at longo. Got a call right now saying they're done and they went ahead and replaced the water pump under warranty because it was making noises.

A quick question as to why there was a recall in the US and not in Canada for the LS460 concerning the fuel injector lines corroding. My car would still have been under warranty in 2010.

I noticed the drop too, but it's weather related. It's getting colder in the Northeast..

Just got mine done, dropped it off yesterday and got a RX450h (the other choices were the RX350 & Ct250h) with about 1600 miles on it to drive. Car seems quite smooth right now; I didn't get a tank of gas like some of you did though.

I noticed a drop in MPG too. Wonder if it's the gas they put in or maybe the engine needs about 400 mi to settle down.

Haven't really notice any mpg drop off. Maybe it's in our head. Longo hooked it up. I took of the engine clips for easy access and they replace them with new ones. Full tank of gas too pretty good

Hennessy Lexus called me yesterday and said they had an earlier appt today so I took mine in and dropped it off at 8:30 this morning. Got a RX350 loaner which drives so smoothly. Was told that the last few recalls they did took 2 days since only master techs could work on the recall vehicles. Before leaving my service tech said they would make sure to wash my baby and fill er up with gas.

Just got mine back this morning. She was washed and detailed, filled up with gas, had an alignment, and new windshield wipers. I did see some posts in this thread saying they didn't gas. I asked my dealership and my service advisor said that he has never heard of a Lexus dealership not gassing folks cars up after service. Anyway, the drive is much smoother, but I think that is due to the alignment that was received. Final Price OTD: $0.00 . It pays to be nice to your service advisor when your vehicle is out of warranty, and when other folks are cutting up about how they want a specific loaner vehicle and what not.

Mine goes in next Tuesday. Also to be addressed is the stereo from which CD's randomly eject (replaced twice before for the same problem), steering 'lock' sensation when on the highway, brake check and fluid replacement, and possible sparkplug change if the price is right. I also have a coupon for a 15% discount on any service, and another for brakes @ $299/axle, which I think is reasonable. The car has 57k miles on it.
To be continued...

what do you mean engine clips?

you mean those push down pins that hold down the black plastic covers?
They lost one of those pins last time they opened mine up somehow.
