3rd Gen GS Rear GS300 Brake upgrade
#3
Just did this today on my 06 gs300 and man it was a pain in the a$$. I tried looking through these trends and no luck but I got it done. So if u want to upgrade from the 06 2 piston caliper to the 4 piston large caliper u gotta make sure you swap out that rotor aswell. Original rotor size for 06 gs300 is about 11.5 in and 07-11 gs350 rotors are about 13.15 in. If you try to install just large 4 piston caliper on original oem gs300 rotor it will not fit. Trust me I learned from it today and we'll that why I'm here to help someone else out before they do the same mistake I did. Anyways it will be caliper, rotor, and BREAK DUST SHIELD. Yes I couldn't emphasize it any more than that but yea if you don't get those dust shields replaced your 13in rotor will be running against the dust shield because of the size difference. So remember if you upgrading to large 4 piston calipers and got a gs300 u will have to be looking into the 07-11 gs350 parts if not you will get improper fitment. Hope this helps someone out stay blessed fam

All GS pads are noisy, scrap that all Lexus pads become noisy after a while, easy and free fix is chamfering the pads on all edges.
Can be done with a hand file and some spare time, cut on a 45 to 60-degree angle and at least 2 to 3 mm into the pad material and it will never make a sound again.
