Replace Door Handle and Lock Cap ?
I removed the door handle on my 2013 rx350 - very easy to do.
The hard part is getting it back on - I've been at it for over 2 hours and I cannot get the handle in so that the catch will engage (that releases the lock)
When reinstalling, you need to push the handle in and they push it forward - I can't seem to get it far enough forward to allow the catch to engage that allows you to open the door.
In other words, once it back together, the handle will not release the catch.
I should have left it alone - I've been working on cars for 30 years and figured this would be easy - in my situation, it is not.
The reason I pulled it was to replace the gasket - I was getting some red rush running out from behind the handle and I wanted to stop that before I had issues with the door rusting.
Man, I can't believe how frustrating this is - is should be an easy job.
