Default 07 GS 350 Cabin Filter - Wondering why the air wasn't blowing.. Now I know!

So we've had the GS for a few weeks now. It was really warm here in KY last weekend. I noticed the air wasn't blowing very well. And since I needed to replace the cabin filter in our IS 300 I bought one for the GS as well. I figured I would check it out. Needless to say we were both floored!

Snake Skin -

Old and New. Hopefully the mouse/rat is gone!

I sent those pictures to everyone who is anyone at the dealership we got the car from. For 2 different reasons. One to let the dealership know that this happened. The 2nd reason is that hopefully they will check and replace if needed. I am sure I am 1 of the few that actually performs any type of service compared to most Lexus buyers. So most people wouldn't have even known, simply took it back to them. They were great about it and offered to pay me back for the filter and my time or other service.

All cleaned up -

Thats nasty, you can still have a snake living in there, not sure about the mouse/rat you stated.

That never would've happened in the Chevelle!

Seriously, though, that's pretty nasty.

Have you checked the engine air filter?

haha you are correct. The Chevelle is the baby of the bunch and gets treated that way! Funny thing about the Chevelle is I actually consider myself a Ford guy. Jealous you own a 5.0 and I don't! Once I drove the Chevelle I had to have it, and I've heard all about it ever since! Now I suppose I am more of a Lexus/Toyota guy since we own 2. haha

Engine air filter is good. Now I have to decide if I want to spend the money on the K&N typhoon CAI, the full Fsport intake or just put a K&N filter in the stock box. I've got a full Airraid intake on my F150 and I love it.

I've thought that. But I figure I'll wait and hope its gone. No telling where it could have been. There aren't any smells in the car, so I hope it left and never came back. I didn't want to tell Leslie about it, I think she has forgotten about it... For now atleast!

That's disgusting, I go a year or two before changing the filter and when I change it it still looks pretty much new.

And thats typical until something finds its way in the duct work and lives in there for awhile. Its not uncommon for something like this to happen. My chevelle has sat in the garage for close to a year now. I highly doubt anything is living in it, but there is that chance!

What was time frame from the replacement you did and the previous one. Just wondering if it was "changed" before you bought it.

We bought this car on June 12th. I replaced the cabin filter on June 22nd. It was like that from the previous owner.
