Default To get a sportier exhaust from the 3GS430

I know there are threads made about this already, but most of them are about the 3GS460. I've had the local muffler shop made a custom axle-back setup for me using 2 magnaflow mufflers. The sound is nice and deep, but I got bored with it, and now looking for a even sportier v8 sound. Not sure if I remembered what the shop told me back then, I remember seeing some kinda sensors attached to the mid-pipe, and the guy at the shop said that there was a resonator on it. I asked him could he go further upstream and just weld a bigger piping and replace the mid pipe while he was welding the piping for the axle-back for me, and he wasn't sure if I was going to have any CEL issues or the car going into limp mode.

Now for those of you that have had some experience with doing custom exhaust work on the v8 3GS(especially the 430):

1. Can I just have the shop custom make a piping to replace the OEM mid pipe, deleting the 2nd cat/resonator, and not throw any codes?

2. If 1 can be done, could I go any further by going with a full-on cat back? I'm sure with this route, somethings has to be done to the o2 sensors... What exactly do I need? If anyone in SoCal can recommend a reputable muffler shop that's experienced with custom work like this, let me know as well.

Thanks.
