GS450h + Lexus Park Assist?
I'm currently in a 2007 350 AWD and looking to move to a 450h of around the same year. I test drove one this afternoon and liked it a lot. I was ready to make a deal, when I realized that despite the vehicle having the Ultra Premium package (ML audio, etc) it did not have parking sensors. Can anyone shed light on this? Was this a separate option at the time? It just doesn't make any sense to me, especially since the 450h is a more expensive vehicle...

Intuitive Park Assist was, in fact, standard on that vehicle (optional on the 350, 430). Have the bumpers been replaced? Did you try to activate the system via the drop-down door?

Coincidentally I came across another 2007 GS450h this morning and found it was also missing the sensors.
Maybe this is a difference between the US and Canadian models? Lexus Canada was probably having a laugh at our expense...

I've been using the park assist for so long now that if I didn't have them any more I would probably be parking by feel I've grown so used to them being there. Pretty sad.

I also have a GS450h (Canadian), and no sensors. I'm glad I don't have them, I find them very annoying. The backup camera works great for parking so I wouldn't worry about not having the sensors.
You will love the 450h.

My 2008 GS450h (Canadian model) came fully loaded, and it has both the parking sensors and intuitive parking assist. Not sure why the 2007 model didn't have it, as it was my understanding that all 450h models up to 2008 came fully loaded. I believe (but not 100% sure, so don't quote me on this) that 2009 was the year that Lexus started with a la carte for the 450h in Canada...
