2006 Lexus GS430 timing belt replacement?
Hey,
I have heard mixed things in respects to changing the timing belt on my 2006 Lexus GS430, I currently have 133,000 kms (approx 83,000 miles) and was wondering when I need to change the timing belt? I have heard 75000 miles, 90,000 miles, and even 100,000 miles? Which is it? Also, is there any way to check to see the condition of the timing belt? I have also heard that if the timing belt breaks it causes a bunch of damage in the engine? Is this true? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :) |
I think it is 90k not sure it should be in ur owners manual

I heard it's 90k. Did mind at 100k.

90K is the safe recommended change out. But I have seen cars go beyond that. One 04 GS4 I saw the water pump went before the belt did. Owner changed everything after that.

90,000 miles is the recommended interval for timing belts.
