Default help any aftermarket intakes gs300

I'm getting kinda bored with my car now. I have a 2006 Lexus Gs300 I've already did the whole exhaust system but now I'm looking for a little more noise. I hate the fact that a can't turbo these cars. Did anyone on here add an intake.there's a thread on here where people I guess some where having the problem with cel.

You only have a choice between Fujita short ram, or dc sports short ram. I'm 99% sure nobody is using the dc sports. Hit the Fujita site and get the current part number for the intake and purchase that one, the older part number will throw the CEL. Fujita corrected the issue. I have not gotten a CEL light for the past year with my Fujita, and I'm lovin the deep roar of it!

Get the NVIDIA Mid-Pipe better. I have it on my car and it sounds beastly with my Tanabe exhaust and k&n dropping filter...

Yah, you're probably going to have to find a used one.. I had to as well back last January
To add on to 06whiteGS, the invidia midpipes are a great investment as well, I have mine along with the Fujita and stock axle back. Sounds amazing

The only choice now is the DC Sports short ram, Fujita and K&N no longer make intakes for the 06. I use the DC Sports intake and it seems to work well. Its a little loud for me at full throttle but overall i can't complain.

I use the DC sports intake, and it definitely feels a bit more responsive. I like it. I had one fail structurally at a weld to the bracket, but they replaced it.

The DC Sports is the only one on your list that will fit a 06 GS 300 without modification. That's what i have in mine right now and i searched everywhere before buying it. Its a bolt on part and only took about 15 min to install.

Your not going to get big horse power gains from any intake by itself regardless of who makes it. I've read about people getting 30-40 hp gains from an intake with a supporting tune but to the best of my knowledge you can't tune a 06+ GS only the older ones. Even if you piggy back the ECU it will override your settings at some point in time.

The DC Sport intake gives a better throttle response but on a good day assuming that is cold outside you may get 3-5 more horse power. Throttle response and sound is its only noticeable benefit. My only problem with the intake is that its to loud for me, you start to hear it at about 3000 RPM and it only gets louder from there. At 4000 that bad boy is screaming and anything above that is out right annoying for my personal taste. Don't get me wrong its a decent low grumble but if i decide to gun it i don't want someone two cars back to know.

Any chance you would post a video of the sound?

Second that one, the video.

I remember DC Sports making descent products say 11-12 years ago. Used some on my Integra and Civic, only problem I had was sitting to low and crushing one of the exhaust tubes (4-1)...

I took a video while getting on the expressway, windows are up with the AC off. Its louder than it appears in the video.

I probably should have cleaned my engine bay. All I need now is a heat shield to keep it from sucking in so much hot air.

You know, that sounds pretty good!

But it's too loud you say?
