while i agree, you also have to keep in mind that not everyone is car savvy. if that were the case they would never get anything done with people coming in asking for things to be checked that arent even wrong.

^ very true

lol at some of these replies, the CEL does not have to be illuminated for the dealer to perform a recall. What the dealer will not do is perform work with out pulling a code from the cars ECU. Again the light does not have to be on for codes to be pulled.

Ill suggest again that you go back and have someone scan for any stored or pending codes in your ECU. It takes them all of 5 min to plug in and check.

Find another Lexus dealer.
That's dealserhip is busy enough to turn away the customers.
