Just bought my first car! GS450H!
 

Hi everyone,

Just would like to re-introduce myself. My name is Kyle and I just bought my first car (completely in my name and my own credit). I'm 23 years old and am in LOVE with this car. This is my 2nd Lexus, as my first was my old 96 LS400. I had that car for 2 years and put 60,000 miles on it trouble free!

I've had this for almost 2 weeks now.

It's a:

2007 GS450h
77k miles
ML Audio/Nav
Sport/Norm suspension

I bought it from my local used Lexus dealer. They had the car for over a year. It's kinda difficult to sell a used Hybrid in Alabama (especially if it isn't a Prius), as most locals think Hybrids are the DEVIL (insert Bobby Bouche's momma). I would up getting it for $25,200, with brand new floor mats and 2 free oil changes. I also bought an extended warranty through Lexus for 50k miles, so no worries here!

So far i've been getting anywhere from 25-33mpg overall and have already installed a Joe Z intake for hopefully even better mileage.

444 estimated range on this tank! (93 no ethanol).

I bought a set of used Vossen VVS084 wheels. They are 20x9 & 20x11. I'm going to be dropping them off at a buddy's shop for him to clean & polish them up. Not a bad deal for $800!

I hope to get them cleaned up and order tires for them within the next 2 weeks.

The pics were taken in downtown Montgomery Alabama. I live about 10 minutes north of the "City", lol. Far as I've seen I'm the only 450h around!

Got the old tires taken off the wheels. Going to be working on cleaning them up all week before my tires come in.

Going to go ahead and put the wheels/tires on it before I get around to lowering it. I'm hoping that it doesn't look too 4x4ish.

Ordered 5k Morimoto bulbs and yellow fogs. Both should be in early this week. More pics and updates to come!

Thinking about ordering the "Top Speed Pro1" exhaust on ebay. Not really feeling like dropping $1k on the Tanabe Touring Medallion, so I was looking at the Pro1. Anyone have any experience with it? How's the fitment? I'd prefer it to not be too awfully much louder than stock.

Wow this system very similar to my M2 Exhaust, I can tell you the M2 exhaust sounds good and I have had no problems with it. Oh yeah and is fairly close to the price of the Top Speed.

Congrats on the new ride! Man, that pearl white glistens in the sun! :D Love your wheel choice, too! ;) Definitely a bargain! Post pics as soon as you get 'em on! Gonna look awesome, especially dropped! :thumbup::thumbup:

Where is Reinhardt Lexus?

Reinhardt is in Montgomery Alabama. They've been around for quite a long time.

Funny story:

I went by the service dept last Saturday to get a printed out service history of the car just out of curiosity. When the head service guy came out to look at the car he said "Damn, that looks exactly like the one I sold (Insert name here) in 2007. So he looks up the Vin, and low and behold: it's the same car!

So the car was originally purchased at Reinhardt, then this guy drive it down to Florida (where the owner lived) and now the car has found it's way back home! Lol

The guy that bought it was very meticulous with the upkeep. It was taken back to the dealer for every little thing. Rattles, funny noises, cabin filter, oil changes, etc...

I'm very happy with the car and love it more and more every day!

i have top speed exhaust too, love it.

Got new tires installed onto the wheels today. Went with what was on the car:

Nitto NT555s all around. 245/35/20 fronts & 275/30/20 rears.

Loving the way it looks. Now all it needs is a slight drop (more so in the front) and she'll be perfect i think!
