Default GS 350's AWD and high mileage

Are they reliable? Have you guys had any issues with the AWD or transmission? Any extra vibrations from it?

We're on our second GS, first one was 06 GS 300 AWD and now a 2010 AWD, both have been superb vehicles, although the 06 suffered from a lot of rattles. No issues at all with the AWD system or transmissions. Had the GS on a 3k mile trip last month through 6 western states, ran like a top, even at tripple digit speeds in central NV.

How many miles are on each? I am looking to see if theres any faults in the AWD system.

I know Water pumps are an issue, so I may change that just for peace of mind.

Had 85k on the 06 and we've just turned 36k on the 2010. Only issues we ever had were the recalls on the 06. No issues whatsoever with the 10, it has been flawless. BTW our 06 was used for numerous trips across mountian passes here in the dead of winter. It handled the ice and snow superbly. So far, the 10 has done the same, with nary a hiccup.

If my Civic in the past ran over 500K without a problem, I'm sure my GS can do the same, my 06 still sounds brand new.

I've got a 2007 with 101k and no issues. I take it in for all schedule maintenance. I'm probably going to do my water pump in the near future just for peace of mind. My AWD is also lowered (vibration from lowering, but none before) on staggered 20's for the past 2.5 years and 50k miles.

Yup. Same with me. (knocks on wood)

Although the accessory belt squeaks a bit when its really cool and damp outside.
Might need a new belt.

Mine has been extremely unreliable. However some of what I have been told, by the dealer, were very expensive fixes have turned out to be rather simple.

That being said...

Window regulators (2)
Dash rattles
New engine

A myriad of confounding electrical problems.

It's not been a fun experience however I'm aware that I am the exception to the rule.

I'm want to purchase a second car and I was shooting for a GS350 or even the 430. I don't mind if they have over 100k, because I heard they run a while. Anyone in the 200-300k range?

There is at least one member here. Search for 200K mile maintenance thread.
