Pretty deep scuff, they will have to sand it down and repaint it. MOST lexus dealerships (unsure of your local dealership) use 3rd party people and charge you even more than they charge lexus...

I'd take it around to some independent shops, make sure to check their work and attention to detail, and have them deal with it.

If you're feeling dicey, take off that front bumper yourself as it's basically just a front bumper, and give that to them so you don't have to deal with the hassle that some people get with body shops.

Yes, of course it can be fixed. It will require filling and repainting though. $500-700 is what you should expect.

Thats way to much! Rather leave it like this since its small not worth paying $500-700.

thats not a bad estimate. they will more than likely repaint the whole bumper do to the metallic paint. they could just repaint that area but it will not match 100%.

They're right, a full bumper repaint is required.... $500-700 is a bit steep though.... You can always bargain with a shop... I'd shot for $350-400ish.... Once again, whatever you do make sure it's a reputable shop that uses PROPER tools along with PROPER paint.

Alongside that, if I was honestly in your shoes, in which at this moment in time I am, I would let it ride out, let the weather and whatnot wear that front bumper out and have it completely redone all at once

I've had mine done twice before. One time as about $700 and the other, about $500. It varied due to different levels of damage. First time, something hit my bumper on the highway, and also I had them fill in holes and damage from a front license plate holder. It may have been higher because I had insurance cover it too. The second time was just some deep scuffs from hitting an iron pillar in my parking garage (yeah my fault). I paid out of pocket about $450-500.

My car is also Starfire Pearl which is a three step painting process. Not sure about your color and how that would affect price. It would have cost $300-400 if I took the bumper off and replaced it myself, but I don't really have time to bother with that.

Just came back from Lexus of Glendale.

The cost was $450, and the full bumper had to be repainted.
I skipped it though, Im going to put touch up paint on it to see if I can make it look very small.
Service guy told me its not worth getting the full bumper painted just for this, so I agreed with him and did nothing to it. I put touch up paint when I go home I will post some pictures when it dries up.

Ouch so expensive... Also was the damage small like mines as in was it 1inch? or was it more bigger? And starfire pearl is a very beautiful color I was looking for that color but was very rare to find and was $4-5k extra. I was also looking to buy a 2010-2011 with low miles 10-20k miles.
I got this 2010 silver gs 350 with 22k miles for $38k+tax was a good deal.

i had the choice of glacier frost mica when i first went shopping..... now that I've had my GS? (Silver, just like you ryder) I'm glad i didnt' go with it.... Every shop I've tlaked to or been around, has said they've hated the glacier frost mica when it comes to the shop because it's almost impossible to reblend the colors to match the pearlescents of the glacier frost (even the starfire pearl was hard to them).

Keep in mind this guy's a professional at what he does and has been doing it for years I've figured that maybe you can take a stab at it, especially since you've got a tiny itty bitty scratch vs his whole side doors being scraped up.

Cheap easy way to minimize the damage is to . Take a fresh razor blade and trim the cut flush with the paint (if it is sticking out a little bit). Then get some finish putty from a local parts store. Mix up about a pea size amount and then scrap it in the scratch with the razor blade and try to wipe excess off with the same blade (after you wipe the the scratch with the putty, wipe off the blade and drag the blade facing away from the direction of travel and wipe off the excess flush with the bumper..you should have minimal amount left on the bumper outside the scratch) After the putty has set up for a minute and is dry to the touch but still soft, Take a paper towel and get it lightly wet with acetone and wipe off the excess on the bumper, Then you should have the area free of all putty except the scratch. Allow to dry for about 10 minutes then proceed to wipe on some touch up paint with a small brush to fill the scratch the rest of the way. By doing this you should be able to minimize the damage and just be able to barely notice a scratch if at all depending on your ability to brush in touch up paint.
