Default Question about spacers

Just recently bought a 2006 GS300 and I am ready to lower it. After doing a lot of research on here, the DF210 springs are the way to go for me. I ordered these, but have two questions on some related parts:

1. Even though the DF210s keep you within OEM camber specs, should I still get a camber kit?

2. I would like to space the wheels out 20mm. Anyone have recommendations on what brand spacers or are these things all the same?

As always, thank you for your input gentlemen.

1. The DFs threw me out of OEM camber specs. I was at almost negative 3 degrees without a camber kit. I'm able to get to 1.3 with a camber kit. So..yes, get a camber kit.
2. I've used spacers (15mm H&R) before but only for a short time so i cant help much.

anytime you lower a car you should get an alignment shortly afterwards. adjusting the toe can keep you in oem specs

Thank you for the replies. With this modest drop, will I need anything else, I.e. RCA blocks, etc.? Thanks again

My personal experience with spacers has not been good. I have a RWD GS, lowered initially on Eibach springs.

I installed 25mm spacers from SportLine ( bolt on spacers with studs sticking out from them )
I would get shaking at different speeds. Although the spacers came with hub rings, there was still shaking.

I then got 20mm spacers from the same company and still got shaking! Tried every thing from manual torqueing the lugs to cross torqueing.. everything. Shaking at different speeds

I then decided to put on my 19" wheels and everything was fine.

I added 10mm Ichiba spacers ( the type that does not bolt on, but comes with replacement longer studs from OEM ). Boom, shaking came back!

It is most certainly spacer related. I am now on coil overs and thinking of removing the spacers.

If you want pictures of what the GS would look like on OEM wheels and 20mm spacers, lowered on springs. Let me know, I can post up some!

RCA blocks will lower the car (front) more. If you can, get a camber kit....SPC makes an adjustable ballpoint for the 3GS.

Dang, this sucks. I was going to ride stocks rims for a couple months, but I just hated how indented they are. Guess I just need to buy rims with the proper offset. Thank you very much for the info.

I have Adaptec Speedware spacers on my GS (15mm front, 20mm rear) and they are absolutely smooth as OE.

Fantastic fit/finish, and they are made to order in the USA! A handful of my VW/Audi/Porsche buddies run them too with zero issues.

After designo had such a bad experience with Ichibas, and the fact that H&R does not make the type of spacer I was looking for in the sizes I wanted (bolt-on type), I reached out to Adaptec and they delivered on all counts.

My 2 c.

Do you know if 20mm spacers will fit with stock 17s (not sure if a pocket exists on backside of rim)? And has anyone run df210s with RCA blocks?

Yes. The 20mm spacers will fit with the factory 17s. The pockets on the back of the wheel are a design standard.

Can't help you with the df210 and RCA question, however.

Good luck man!
