Default 2008 GS350 tire recommendations - problems with new Michelin PS 4 A/S

I'm looking for tire recommendations for a 2008 GS350 AWD. I'm considering something other than ultra high-performance tires, as I'm looking for something quieter for daily driving and occasional road trips. My new Michelin PS 4 A/S tires are too loud and harsh.

Background:
I've had Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season 3's and 3+'s on the car in the past and was happy with the handling and ride quality. The last set would get loud on older/worn pavement; I attributed that to tire/tread wear as much as the pavement.
I recently bought new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 A/S tires and have not been happy with the tire noise and vibration at speed. They seem notably louder than the 3's or 3+'s, particularly above 40 MPH. There is a rhythmic vibration/jitter above 40 MPH that increases in frequency with speed, and they generate more road noise overall than the 3 series. I had the new tires rebalanced several times and even replaced the set under warranty, with little change. I'm coming to the conclusion the PS 4's are simply a different product than the 3's.

Brand new tires shouldnt vibrate! Its possible you have a bent wheel or two. I would get that checked out, what you can do is take it to a mom n pop wheel shop and just have them spin every wheel on the balancing machine. At the same time, turn on the flashlight on your phone and examine the inner barrel of the wheel, and outer. If you see the wheel is wobbling slightly, you can ask around for a local wheel repair shop and they can easily repair each wheel for a pretty good price. Because what many tire techs do when they see a wheel that is bent, they just stack a bunch of wheel weights and send the customer off. Or if they were nice enough, they will put the bent wheel in the rear so the driver wouldnt noticed it as much.

Once you fix the damaged wheels, the car should run smoother, and quieter.

I to prefer a softer smoother riding tires, which is why I avoid sport tires and stick to all season tires. Theres so many tires on the market, you can see what tires they put on new luxury cars, as those are usually the smoothing riding. Or you can check tirerack.com for tire reviews and what people think about them. Im currently on pirelli p7 and I used to have the michelin primacy and it was a smoother tire than the pirellli only reason I purchased them was because of a sale.

Heres a michelin video explaining the difference
