Default is250/350 brake calipers

so a big question is will the front calipers from a is350 fit "clear" 17 in wheels on my 06 gs300? they look pretty big and this is the only "bbk" I can afford right now, I know most ppl are rolling on dubs, but I'm stock and I know most of these kits have clearance requirements...so I've purchased larger diameter rotors and now it's time for the calipers! any info will be appreciated!

The bigger brakes from the IS/GS350 were standard on the European 3rd gen GS300 running on 10 spoke 17"s (I have one) so you should be fine!

^^ that previous thread does not help at all, it was a rotor thread. I tried asking Sewell Lexus parts and they were absolutely no help, they were just uh man idk...not trying to throw them under the bus, but for them to be a CL sponsored vendor, and of it to mention the fact that I'm a potential customer looking to spend $800 on a part one would expect them to be a bit more knowledgable on technical data. from what drzava says about his car, they should clear, but I would really like to be certain. this upgrade thing is starting to look like a money pit. I truly hope it can be done using my stock 17's because I'm not trying to buy rims!

LOL, I didn't even realize you started the other thread until I just re-read through it. Sorry, best of luck, update w/ what you find, if you don't mind. I see you found the rotors in the other thread.

Well there is only one way to find out, buy the calipers if they don't fit get ready for a set of rims, but they should fit because my car came with stock 11 spoke rims same exact as gs300,

can anyone who has performed this mod please tell me if they also had to upgrade to a 2007 gs350 master cylinder, since this requires larger rotors and larger calipers? was the 06 master cylinder upgraded to a 07 model? thanks! I tried to speak to a service tech and am awaiting a call back.

i talked to a Lexus service technician and a Lexus service advisor and was told by both that they can give me no information on the mod because I'm modifying my vehicle. I was referred by both to the call 800-25lexus and speak with an engineer. I find it to be a bit ridiculous to have to jump through hoops to have my car updated to the brakes that come standard on 07-12 models. CL can anyone who has done this rotor/caliper mod tell me if the master cylinder had to be changed to a 07 yr model?

I'm pretty sure someone already did this and confirmed that it fits. Either that, or someone with the bigger brakes put the 17 inch wheels on for winter tires.

Unfortunately, you can't really do anything based of my "pretty sure".

I have read a lot of threads where people upgraded to is350/gs350 rotors and calipers without modifying the master brake cylinder, go to sewellparts.com and call them or search for the vendor from sewells and pm him. His name is darrel pretty cool guy he should have an answer for you. You can also use the search function and pm people who have upgraded if they had to change anything else. Even people who went bbk route didn't modify anything.
