Default 20" v 22" on 06 GS300 RWD

So I'm looking for a set of rims for my car...finally! Went throu the entire wheel sticky & created more problems for myself. Looking at the cars the 20" look to small without lowering the car. I really don't want to spend the money to lower the car after putting on new wheels. I can't find many pics here of a GS on 22". Am worried it will look like a lifted GS w/ 22s. Any idea/pics from someone w/ 22s?

I don't care about ride stiffness, etc...just love the look of big wheels. Previously from the custom truck crowd so would throw 30 inchers on if I could!

If you don't lower it, and add a kit, it will probably look ridiculous.

Here is my 06 gs300 rwd with 22's and bone stock suspension... I had them on for a couple weeks only because I got a good deal on them. They did rub on road dips (with just myself in the car), but I was running 295's on the rears. But with rolled fenders or stretched tires, you should be okay, neither of which I had. Plus you'd have to make some adjustments to the wheel well liner in front, mine rubbed in there as well on tight turns, running 245's in front.

I liked the look for the first few days, but then it hit me; car was sitting way too high for my taste, plus I wanted to lower it anyways, so 20's are in the near future for me.

Here is the link for my wheels for sale thread, there are more pix and specs in there >>>> Click Here

But at the end of the day, it is your car and everyone has their own taste, so do what you personally like regardless of what others say...

Hope this helped... Here are a few pix...

Gojeezy Thank U! That's exactly what I was looking for. Totally agree it just sits to high, I like the symmetry of the wheel arch & wheelwell arch@ the top of those 22's but without a body kit to lower the body just sits to high.

I've also decided to wrap the car so i will need to lower & then put 20's on so the theme works.

Thanks again Gojeezy & all of club Lexus for the input

to get any of these wheels to look absolutely correct you WILL have to lower it
