Default Navi not able to search for # on address

Hey CL members,
I noticed that lately my navi in my 07 GS, hasn't been able to locate the addresses i input. It would say that there's no such address based on the number of the address. If i search up the range of the number (ex. 400-430), then it'll be able to work. When i first purchased the car, it was able to search up the exact address. I was wondering if maybe i might have messed up something that it can't find the exact address anymore. Also, the places i searched up, they're not newly built so it should've been in the navi maps. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I would verify the address online first. Sometimes it will not recognize the name of the street because it is spelled differently.

Example- I tried to input a street address '1st street' and got nothing. Checked online and it is 'first street'.

How old is your NAV DVD? Perhaps the specific address that you're entering didn't exist when the DVD was manufactured.

the navi in the lexus is far from even being good. ive always had this issue with mine. never recognized the address however when i got to where i needed, the navi had no problem showing me i was on that road and even touching the screen, it would pop that address up. i gave up on using the navi.

Yeah, i'll have a look at that later today. Hopefully it's just something simple like that to fix the issue. Thanks!

My car is a 07. The addresses that i looked up like certain houses were already built way way back in the days.

Yeah,,, I was all happy to finally have a car with navigation haha but it's still better than not having it, i guess. Main thing was so that I can always find my way home if I were ever to get lost.

Change the city. It usually happens to me when I try to search an address without changing the city or area. It will look for addresses in my default area instead of where I'm going to, even if it's like the next county over....

Yup. That's Lexus Navi for ya. Also, it does not show the zip code when it actually find it.

So, I bought the latest Navi DVD from Sewell Lexus. It's an 2013 update for the Gen 5 navi.

For some reason, it has trouble locating the addresses. I've entered addresses and it would state that the number doesn't exist or the Street. It's weird... I thought this update would help me alot more and I end up using my cellphone for directions.

Anyone else with the new CD have this issue? So far... only 1 friend's address worked but the past couple of times I enter another friend's address or restaurants, it can't locate it.
