I purchased a 2010 GS350 from Lexus Escondido on June 26, 2013. It had 33,300 miles. I brought it back in July for front brake noise a few weeks later. The front pads and rotors were replaced under the recall, and all is well.

Now the problem is the rear brakes. They flutter during high speed stop. The pads look very thin out back. I am thinking of changing the rear pads to new Akebono brand. I now have 39000 miles, and know the dealer won't change them under warranty. I am thinking about either replacing the rotors or turning the old ones. Has anyone changed their pads out yet as a DIY? Did you turn the rotors, replace them, or just change the pads without turning rotors? Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes I did, with brand new Akebono pads and aftermarket rotors and I still get the dreaded squeaky breaks when going in reverse. Not sure what the hell the issue is.
