Default oil filter clarification

I ordered and received an oil filter from a CL sponsor for my 2007 RWD GS350. The part I received had a part # ending in YZZA5. Previously, the oil filters I used had a part # ending in YZZA3. I called for clarification, and was told the sending dealership uses 'A5' for both RWD and AWD GS350's. My local dealership stated the A5 was for AWD, and the A3 for RWD. The 'A5' is supposedly a bit longer than ther A3.
Before I get into the change procedure, any experiental advice would be helpful
Thanks in advance for your help.

A3 is for RWD
A5 is for AWD

But you'll be fine using either one. Filter size is the same only difference is that you're getting an extra small o-ring and drain pipe for the per-drain option on the AWD.
