Get out of Lease to Get new GS
I have a 2011 GS 350 (my second) on a 3 year lease. (Lease started April 2011, so I am about 14 months into it). My car has approx. 4900 miles on it. I called my Lexus dealer about getting a new 4G gs350 and he said my lease cancelation would cost me over $2000? This seemed a bit high given what they can sell the car for, but I know nothing about this. Has anyone had sucess in convincing Lexus to let you out for nothing if you start a new Lease?
Thanks.
Thanks.

fwiw ( and dunno how much things have changed) but when i was growing up my parents always leased lexus' and they always ended up turning in their leases early to get into a newer model.
as long as they were trading up and stayed with the same dealer they never once had to put anything additional down and never paid any fees to switch.
it was only when they finally wanted to stop leasing lexus and try a different model that they got slapped with all kinds of insane fees (and not trying to turn in early either).
all of a sudden the sales people that had treated them like family for years turned into real *******s (obv this doesn't apply to all dealerships etc just was crazy how quick the switch flipped).
anyways i def think you should be able to get into the new one for way cheaper then 2K.
stick to your guns and be patient, you have a great car to drive while you negotiate so you shouldn't be in a rush to take the first offer they throw at you.
