I did two things to get them to quit rubbing. Used a heat gun to mold the spot on the fender liner where they were rubbing, and went with a 30 series tire (Falken 452). Once the car was lowered, the 30 series looked so much better than the 35.

The chances of you getting anywhere near that is pretty slim....otherwise the guy you bought them from would have done that. Regardless, I say keep the rims and get new tires.

OP, you didnt specify the width of the rims. I think we are assuming you are running 20x9 in the front and a 20x10.5 in the rear. If that is the case, I would go with a 245/30/20 in the front and a 295/25/30 in the rear. That's what I'm running at least with those spec rims. I have minimal rubbing in the rear and its most likely because I have a camber kit in the rear that brought my wheels more flush, not allowing them to tuck..

In any case, I would keep the rims and slang the tires.

i am running 9 in the front & 10.5 rear...but my rubbing is in the front rear is perfect....its the 245/35 up front i think i may need to switch to a 30 series up front to eliminate the rubbing but im going to try the heat gun method on the wells first as this is a cheaper alternative than another 400+ for new tires.
