ambient light

I was just wondering the "ambient" light that shines straight down and lights up the center console, is there a way to turn that off? My nav screen is bright enough! just wondering thanks

You can always make the nav screen and instrument cluster dimmer by going to the control panel and hitting "max".

At least for my 06 GS you can.

^ yeah that is the only way i know of to turn it off

yeah there is no way to turn it off completely

electrical tape or set the cluster lighting to off. Any other settings on the cluster brightness has it illuminated.

Just wondering, when you say your nav screen is bright enough, do you have it set to go to night mode (black background not white) when your headlights are on?

yeah i dont think theres a way to shut it off i just turn down the brightness on the nagvi
