A week ago took my GS to drag hoping to improve my previous 13.9 run and was succesfull!! Best was 13.62 which I think is awesome for our detuned GS460 . Below is the slip (on the left). And a video of one my runs.. 13.65.

Nice to see some GS owners out on the drag! We had a free drag(only 1/8 wish it was 1/4 though!) at the biggest lexus meet here in Southern California, you could check out some of the races here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGLOQDtbzpU.

BTW, have you tried brakeboosting a little bit before takeoff? Just a little bit around 1.8k to 2k RPM, I noticed I don't get bogged down right off the line compared to smashing the pedal from a standstill. Anyways nice video! I gotta get my car out to the 1/4 mile sometime.

I brake torque to about 1.5k rpms. All you need is good tires!! my best 60ft was 2.0.

Very cool. 13.6 is a very commendable number for any car, let alone for a 4 door sedan.

I wonder how my GS430 will do.
Fastest I've gone was in my 88 Lincoln Mark VII LSC. Did 13.9 at a 100. Many mods.

Lexus states low 14s... you need to track test ! instead of paper numbers.

Over in the middleeast they detuned the GS 460 its supposed to have 342 hp and over there the engine hp is 320 hp I think can't recall but yeah thats what he means by detuned.
