When i hit a small bump or go over a speed bump I hear a weird knocking sound from the drivers side front of the car. Had it check out at Lexus yet they found nothing wrong. Its a 06 gs430 has anyone else heard this same sound?

Fsport sway bars installed?

Top strut mount? The f sports do make a similar sound too. New bushings took care of that since the old ones were shot. Quiet as a mouse now.

So I need to buy the F sport strut or just the strut mounts?

I have passnu2 old car which has the f sport sways. 06 gs430. The sways made a clunking sound over the littlest bump which almost sounded like bad strut mounts but I replaced with new bushings and it all went away. It almost sounds like the strut mount on your car are bad. Does it make a noise when the car is in park and sitting like its "settling?". Mine did the tie rod was loose. That took care of some noise while in motion and even sitting still. If not I'd check the strut mounts to see if they are bad.

^ what did you replace the bushings with? Others would probably be interested in knowing what worked for you. Some had this issue and some didn't. I noticed mine didn't have the issue until later and maybe its the colder climate were I'm located that caused this?

I just called my Lexus dealership and said I needed new sway bar bushings for my f sport sways, like $30 later perfectly quiet. The old ones were shot. Some of it was the tie rod was loose and some of it was also the break caliber itself was loose (also causing an extreme break noise) Who ever put that car back to stock did it half ace. It's about winter here so it's still stock. All I need is more stuff to store for the winter. I already have ccw's sitting in my room and 2 cars and a bike to hide away. sorry for the non related stuff btw. Full story to come in spring time lol as for the clunking I'd have them check those top mounts. How many miles are on your car? Getting close the the 100k mile point?
