Do these squeal and produce alot of dust like the OEM? I find that my OEM produces too much dust, which require constant washing, and have this occasion annoying squeals.

the proACT pads are ceramic. ceramic pads, in general, are advertised as making "no dust" but it's actually a light colored dust so it doesn't look dirty. they come with a cover on the back of the pads so even if you don't have the shim kit for the brakes they won't squeal. i've had them on my brakes for well over 1000 miles now with no squealing and my wheels don't get covered in that brown dust so i approve of these pads

Akebono pads are very dustless, if you drive for a week it will be covered in very light dust color which isnt even that noticable. Where oem or the red stuff pads i got know every day or 2 looks like a mercedes with oem pads. The squealing sound you get would be the shim kit. I had my oem shim kit on akebono's and at end of its life it started squealing because of the shim kit. I suggest using the kem akebeno shim kit thats already on it.
