Default While were on offsets ?

im still trying to figure offsets as well..... Do the offsets change with rim selection. For instance do lets say vossen 083's have a certain offset when you purchase them or can you purchase them with different offsets ?

more simple approach....will all vossen 083 have the same offset ?

Is there a standard offset for 06 gs300 (awd) for it to be flush ?

One piece wheels come in select offset options, multipiece wheels can be made to have custom offsets. A certain offset could be flush at a particular ride height, when you raise or lower the car the wheel cambers in or out and will change the stance

correct. typically 1 piece wheels like vossen will only come in a few different offsets. you can have wheels made to the specs you want but you'll be looking to drop around 3k to 4k just for those wheels.

agree, and i would like to add that its better (imho) to get the correct wheels (with the offsets you need) than to try to fit wheels that don't fit properly and then fiddle with tire sizes that are not in spec, cut tabs, or roll the fenders.

I would just like to add that the Lexus GS design is not really geared for aggressive flush offsets. You may get the "correct" offset for your car ( like I did when I got the MRR GT1's ), but you will not like the stance.

So in order to get a more flush look, you must fiddle with your fenders and ride height of course. Some even go as far as adjusting camber to get it all to fit the way they want it to!

amen. lexus cars are not very friendly when it comes to wheel fitment. can't fit aggressive offsets to begin with, and then the fender designs are painful to work with.

What would you guys say if i was not lowering my gs300 at all & looking to order these online.

http://bigwheelsnyc.com/rvm635-22x85...1-3-1-1-1.aspx

I dont really know the meaning of aggressive stance to well either....everytime i see someone metion aggresive the rim sits inside the wheel well & the car is slammed (wheel kinda leans inward inside of the wheel well) not into that look at all. I dont know how to say i just want the regular look (maybe non aggresive)...... without lowering

with that being said....

What offset & tire size would you get to achieve a non aggressive stance with the setup above ?

Talked to the guy at the shop selling that setup & he told me i should get
225/35/20 (f)
275/30/20 (r)

& that my car has +40 (f) offset & +40 (r) offset

the guy at the wheel shop doesn t know these cars as well as some of us on here, get a 20x9 +32 and a 20x10.5 +45 or +39 for a slightly more aggressive stance. you need a 245/30-20 and a 285/25-20 and these cars look much better lowered for this I highly recomend coilovers. The above mentioned is a solid set up for a gs that maintains function over form and still looks good. I personally have gone for a more extreme look by slamming my car running, more aggressively fitted wheels, and stretched tire sizes. I also don t have to daily drive my GS she has become more of an expensive hobby than a everyday driven luxury vehicle. Those offsets are legit tho you will be right where you want to be with this and won t need to modify the fenders to ride with the +45 in the rear.

I just noticed that those rear rims are 20x10.5 +40. That might be a little bit of an issue. If you do run a 275/30/20 is the rear, make sure to get a tire with the most narrow shoulders as possible.

Thanks guy for your advice......Is that the consenus ? 245/30/20 (front).....285/25/20 (rear) is a better fit (with less issue) than 225/35/20 (front)....275/30/20 (rear).

Dont want to have any rubbing issues or premature tire wear.

rims are 20 x 8.5 (f).....20 x 10.5 (r)

Just wanted to see what others recommend as well
