U get better mpg with the 3GS? I got a 07 gs350 and gas is killing me every 4-5 days i got to fill up. On my 2gs it's was every 7-8 days. Is there something wrong with my car?
And just to say I still love this car I would never go back...

if you driving habit hasn't changed, something is wrong. 3gs have noticeably better gas mileage

Currently own both and love both cars... 3GS have way better components and interior, it's heavier but gets better gas mileage than my 2GS.

Always wanted to get a 2GS. Was about to purchase one then I test drove the 3GS and never looked back. The fact that the 3GS gets better gas mielage was the deal sealer for me

Two 2nd Gens (2000 & 2003) and now 3rd Gen (2006). I do miss my '03 though, easier to take apart.

Same here, mine was stolen a year before I purchased the new gen. However the robbers did not use it for parts. Instead it was found 4 months later, the tire were completely worn off( they were using it for drifting) and the suspension was completely screwed up. It had twenties.

It was later found on some random district. When the cops found it. Instead of informing me so I can provide them with the keys to move it. They picked up a huge brick and smashed the driver side window so they can have access to move the vehicle. Now this dumb *** cop I am assuming never broke glass before because he threw it so hard it bounced of the center arm rest (kinda ripped it) all the way to the inside of the passenger door damaging it. Plus when the towing car came they damaged the front bumper (metal towing wires) after this they called me and informed me.

The cost of the damage from the robbers was almost equivalent to the damage the cops did. I sold it a few weeks later.

I still have my 1999 gs 400 with 339,000 miles on it but also bought a 2008 gs460 for my wife and she has already put 228,000 miles on it. I like the looks of the 2008 better the the older 1999 gs but the 1999 is a hard car to kill; still running original engine and transmission. Have had to replace normal things but still runs great. To me the 2008 feels lighter; that just might be me. I have the v8 engine in both cars.

I had a 02 gs300 that was a great car. It had 262k miles when I sold her. I got an 08 gs460 8speed Transmission 342 hp V8. Definitely 3GS. It is bigger and more hp

Had an 2000 gs300. I sold it off when it reached 300K...probably could of kept it as it was still going strong. Hopped into a gs450h... The 2gs was more raw and not as refined as the 3gs. I think the 2gs was more fun to drive, but hybrid power and e-cvt are so nice to have. Do I miss my 2nd gen? Yes I do, but the 3gs is a little more "grown up." Look for an 08+ for the bluetooth music...(it matters)
