I've been hoping high gas prices would mean less traffic but alas not so.

gas is heading back up in no time. What's interesting is the price of oil is not as high as last year while the price is just as high.

my previous tank was exactly 22mpg.

If U just fill up the tank and run it for 2 feet than yes that would be about the mpg.

Other then not driving (as if!), there is no way to combat the high prices. As for affordability, must cut back on the weed and Starbucks (maybe not in that order).

Think about it... one less 'frap' on a hot day = 1 gallon of gas = 18 more miles you could have driven (YMMV).

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the whole AC uses tons of gas is a bit of an out of date assumption these days, no? Sure, I suppose it drags on things a bit but it's not like it used to be.

The more gas goes up, the more working out of a home office gets better for me. I do feel bad for people that live in the burbs who have to spend a couple of hours in traffic every day... but I guess that's the price you pay for a big cheap house these days - though I wonder how cheap the cheap house is after you factor in all of the transportation costs over the years which will go nowhere but up.

Agree - You would think that the 4 point increase in unemployment would mean 4% less cars on the road during rush hour.
