I actually read that gs300 eating a quart oil per oil change is considered normal.

Sounds like bad axles. Does it vibrate?

I can't tell if there is a vibration or just my eyeballs vibrating because it's so freeking loud. Put your fingers in your ears and hum............that's what it sounds like to the point you have to raise your voice to talk to your passenger sitting next to you. I'd say there is a very slight vibration. I'm still leaning towards bad hub assembly/wheel bearing.......

^ reminds me of my previous 94 teg.. wheel bearing was shot, and the noise was so loud that i couldn't hear any conversation (no vibration however). after new bearing, the noise was completely gone..

Back to the dealer tomorrow. Having a "tech" ride with me so I can get a first hand expression. They wrote it off as "normal tire noise" 5000 miles ago. I'll let you know what happens.

Tech's response "Never heard that one". I smiled.........but, just shy of a grand later, they ended up replacing the driver front wheel bearing. All is good on that problem. However, the "Check VSC" "!" in yellow are directin bank 2 catalytic converter failure. They want 2 grand (yes $2000) to replace the converter. I opted to wait so I can do a little research, and was having a hard time swallowing over $3K in maintanence today.
