Can you add Tire Pressure Monitor system?
Recently purchased an 06 GS300, although the listing for the car indicated it had the Tire Pressure Monitoring System, I'm thinking that this feature was mistakenly listed. The car is currently at the dealers right now while they take care of a couple of other issues.
I've scanned a few threads here and I'm having 2nd thoughts about the system due to the problems others are having and the lack of definitive information as to how exactly the system works (some users with aftermarkey wheels having issues).
I spoke with a local dealer and they say you cannot add the OEM system but are there after market systems that can be added and that work well?
Is there a way to determine if my car has the TPM system?

yes
if they were missing you would have your dash lights flashing. If you look at my pics I just posted you can see the error message and also you get 2 others on the dash. Mine are not linked with the car as I didnt plan on keeping these rims, they were temp until I figured something out.

Every 3GS has TPMS. If the wheels they're selling the car with don't have them you'll get a christmas tree dashboard with flashing lights and warning messages in the display saying "CHECK SYSTEM".
If that local dealer is a Lexus dealer they are CLUELESS.
