Default Please Help!! Front headlight is being funny!?!?

Hey,

I currently own a 2006 Lexus Gs430, recently the front drivers side headlight has been acting up. Initially when i turn on the car it's ok but a few minutes later it will fuse. Then if i switch them off and on it will turn back on but then refuse a couple minutes later? Also, somtimes what happens is that if the lights are in the on position the drivers will turn off, then eventually the passenger light will turn off and only my fog lights and my (inside) day time running lights will be on?

Anybody have any idea what is going on with this? I really dont want to take my car to the dealer as i cant afford a hefty bill right now?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

you might need to check for the fuse, then swap out the bulbs and last ballast could be bad. Check on ebay there are OEM bulbs/ ballast for really cheap. Good luck bro

It is the hid bulb, I just bought one for $400.00? Is this a reasonable price for the hid bulb, seems extremely pricey? Anyone know where i can get one for cheaper?!?!

$400 for a bulb? Uhmm no.....Go on ebay and buy 2 bulbs there for less than $100. Search for OEM D4S bulbs. Look at the bulb before you buy it, it should say either "Philips" or "Harison", everything else is not OEM.

Sweet thanks, I found a few on ebay, however how do I know whether to get 4000 k, 6000 k etc? What does this number represent and which one would fit my car?

Thanks again!

Both would fit just fine. The number represents the lumens (light output). The 4000k is daylight white, it is what you have right now. The 6000k is slightly bluish white.
