Default 3GS tire stretch/fender mod INPUTS NEEDED

I have an 07 GSh and here is my current setup

Front: 20 x 9's w/ 245-35's
Rear: 20 x 10.5 w/ 275-30's

I haven't even lowered the car yet and I'm already starting to notice some slight rubbing against plastic up in the front. It could be that something is loose though, I'm unsure and should probably look to make certain.

In any event, I want to go a little wider on the tires.
I know, you think I'm crazy because I'm already rubbing. Oh yeah, I'm also going to lower my car. I currently have some brand new NF210's in my garage but I'm considering selling them to go with coilovers instead.

Anyways, considering I have 9" wide rims in the front and 10.5" wide in the rear, what should I go with? F- 255/30? R- 285-25? Just looking for some input.

Also, how much does it cost to get the fenders pulled and perform all mods necessary to ensure no rubbing? I'm looking to go with coilovers and probably leave the car with a modest 1.5"/1.1" drop for daily driving.......

I've searched the forums all over and just want some advice from some people that hav actually gone through the pain of making a wide staggered setup work nice......

I have a 245/30 in the front and 285/25 on the rear with shaved fenders I am most likely going to change this to a 225/30 f and 245/30 r to get more stretch so I can make my car sit lower and more aggressive. With my current set up I am right within factory specs, however with my rear tire I can t go with a larger spacer. Part oc thd reason your rubbing is because you have a 35 series on the front going wider is going to cause more rubbing. I also paid about $300 to have my fenders shaved the fenders on these cars aren t real easy to roll and many have had to have body work done

Hey Ricky, it's like IKA says your running out of spec tires. You have the same setup as me and there was a couple of things I did:
1. Removed the black trim piece (not the plastic liner)
2. Heated and reshaped the plastic liner
3. Had my fenders shaved

I'm sitting on coilovers and hardly have any rubbing issues, occasionally if I hit a dip or bump at a fast speed I might rub or if turning very sharp. I also had to trim where the bumper and fender bolt up. I had to get the fenders shaved because of the semi-aggressive offset I am running. If you talk to Jin at Kyoei-USA he can take care of any fender modding at a very reasonable price. He did mine. I also think I mentioned that he can do your coilover install and adjustment at a very reasonable price. If you ever want to see my setup up close let me know.

Happy New Year!

Ron
