Default GS300 Power Steering Lines???

Hey All,

Another Maintenance question for you.

I went to get my car serviced this weekend at a local toyota dealership. They said everything was fine, but I need a new Air Filter and my "High-Pressue Power Steering Line" was leaking a bit and would need to be replaced.

I was curious to know if there is a TSB for this sort of issue, because having a GS300 with only 47k miles, having a power steering line develop a leak seems a bit early/unusual. Also, does anyone have an idea as to how much it would cost to be replaced?

Thanks!

Wow, that's bull****. Your power steering is electric, therefore there is no power steering fluid, therefore there is nothing to pressurize.

There is no "high pressure power steering line" in the 3GS.

Or are you in the wrong forum and you have a 2005 or older GS?

Nope, I have a 2006 GS300... I was kind of shocked myself, I knew it was electric but after having a mechanic telling me it was leaking, I thought to myself the PS System maybe a Electro-Hydrolic system???

Though regardless, since there is no High Pressure Line, I wonder what he thought he saw leaking.

Thanks for all your help Binary, you've pointed me in the right direction in more than one time on this forum.
