bumping old thread,
this is now going to happen to me,
my Garax 6000k driver side is turning yellow instead of good old blue-ish color, will swap bulbs left to right to try it out to see if its the bulb or bad ballast, i am hoping it would be the bulb only, looks like ballast require bump removal work to get to.
can i buy used ballast off ebay or do i need to purchase new one?
if possible can i get Lexus part number too?

i am thinking this might be the part

That happened to me! my 6K Garax looked so yellow, I thought it was just faulty so the store sent me another pack, same problem, then I just installed a 55w aftermarket HID kit and called it a day.

I have been having the same issue with the passenger side headlight. Turn it off and then back on and it works??? Im also on the fence on what to do. I would think it would not be the bulb. Common sense would tell me (if i have any) If the bulb lights it has to be good. I'm going with the ballast solution

what i did was took the bulb that never went out and installed it to the passenger side and replaced the driver's side with the new bulb.... haven't had a problem since and im going on 2 weeks now.
to me it seems like some aftermarket bulbs to pair well to the OEM ballast but luckily it was just a matter of switching the bulb and replacing the defective one. i still keep the defective one just in case the bulb actually blows.

I was always having issues with my driver side headlight going out. I just thought the bulb was messed up until one day I decided to swap out for new OEM Phillips bulbs. My driver side connection was melted inside the silver ballast connector highlighted in red above in post #46. Just ordered a new Denso ballast.
Anyone having issues with bulb going out and turning back on when you turn your lights on/off , you should definitely check the ballast connector.

All the parts have been test in working conditions before we ship it out to you. The first thing we recommend customers to make sure your fuse is not blown. Secondly in order for the light to work properly, all of the components which include the ballast, igniter, bulb and headlight wiring have to be in WORKING condition.
