if your car is still under the factory warranty (4yrs/50k) then yes, just bring in whatever tsb you have, shown them and say you would like this fixed.

It might go down easier if you just go in and explain you have a problem in the same wording as the TSB uses and give them a chance to find it and offer it - otherwise, they may look at your problem with more skepticism than usual.

**** MODS ****

Please make this thread a sticky. A lot of great info here that should be made so that it is easily found for those who may be looking.

I just got an email this morning with the following information on a new recall.

A safety recall has been issued for your 2006 Lexus GS 300:

Dealers will modify the plastic pad on the floor carpet free of charge. the manufacturer has not yet provided an owner notification schedule. owners may contact toyota at 1-800-331-4331

I am not sure what this one is all about, but I guess we will find out.

From lexuslink :

2006 LEXUS GS300
Safety Recall BLB - 2006 - Early 2007 Model Year GS 300 and GS 350 AWD Vehicles Plastic Pad Embedded into the Floor Carpet
This is an important Safety Recall. Please contact your authorized Lexus dealer and schedule an appointment to have this remedy performed as soon as possible.
What is the Condition?
In 2006 through early 2007 model year GS300 and GS350 AWD vehicles, in the event that the floor carpet around the accelerator pedal is not properly reinstalled in the correct position after a service operation, there is a possibility that the Plastic Pad embedded into the floor carpet may interfere with the operation of the accelerator pedal arm. If this occurs, the accelerator pedal could temporarily become stuck in a partially depressed position rather than return to the idle position. An accelerator pedal temporarily stuck in a partially depressed position may increase the risk of a crash.

New Safety Recall for 2006-07 GS300/GS350's:
Just received a new Safety Recall Notice by mail today. This one is titled "Insufficient Tightening of the Fuel Pressure Sendor". If loose, it could allow fuel to leak past a gasket used in connection between sensor & pipe & through the threaded portion of the sensor. If this is the case, the gasket between the sensor & fuel delivery pipe will be replaced & the sensor tightened with the proper torque. Symption of this issue is smelling gas in the engine compartment.

If not found loose, dealer svc will tighten the fuel pressure sensor with the proper torque.

Will take it to nearby Lexus dealer tomorrow to be checked out. They made a point to inform that you still need to have this checked out even if you've already had the fuel delivery pipes (aka fuel rails) replaced under a different Safety Recall/TSB...which I had performed last year.

Thought this might be useful to some people? Maybe it would be helpful if anyone has the pdf's to any of these to post them in this thread and make it a sticky possibly?

Edit: Thanks to TWong1200 for stepping it up for everyone here! BUT if you do recieve a TSIB from him PLZ UPLOAD IT IN THIS THREAD like I have done below so his inbox is not flooded with constant requests.

My wife's 06 gs300 had water in the passenger front, rear, and driver's side read floor. I found out about a rubber grommet that seemed to be causing a blockage, so i decided to take a shot at removing it per the TSB since the vehicle is no longer under warranty.

I just removed the evaporator drain grommet and I didn't need to unhook the exhaust or lower the transmission, even though the TSB says that's the procedure. I jacked up the car and bent the exhaust shield a little, and was able to reach the drain (though i couldn't see it) from the driver's side of the transmission. I though it would be a tougher, but it wasn't too bad; only a few scrapes from squeezing my forearm between the transmission and exhaust, and i had to work at pulling the grommet since i couldn't get much leverage and it was on somewhat snug. A bunch of water poured out of the drain when i was working the grommet, so i hope the problem is solved.
