OMG.. I took it today to get this done and they said it CANT be DONE..... There reason whas GCC spec cars do not have the necessary wiring for the application. I dont understand this.. WHY? First we have DE-TUNED cars and now this. Pathetic. Anyone knows how to get in contact with Lexus Headquarters to sort this out??

I want mine changed to turn off right away when the door is opened. I never need the lights on to see where I'm going when I park and I don't feel right about taking my eyes off the thing before I see them go off... especially considering there are a few reports of door switches getting sketchy and causing it to stay on.

I could have swore one time mine didn't turn off automatically but I might have just been being impatient.

I realize I can use the fob to turn them off, but that's another step and this car has made me extremely lazy.

That is not what the OP is asking.

Do you guys think they are telling to truth or just being lazy? I dont see how headlights can differ from region to region.... also can someone give me the screw driver spec for raising headlights?

if you want, just press the lock button on your remote twice and that will shut off the lights right the way (if you don't want to get the setting programmed)

headlight is not the problem, the ecu is what controls it. if your ecu is different....

That is EXACTLY what the OP is asking! He lives where I live and I know what he wants.

Look in the very back of your manual at the "personalization" section. If the ability to change how the lights function after turning your car off, then it should be configurable. I looke at my manual and I have the ability to configure to imediate off, 30s, 60s, or 90s.

Do your lights stay on even after you have opened your door to get out?

Mine do... The timer actually doesn't start until you close the door. Thats why alot of people that install aftermarket car starters have to also add a relay/wiring solution in order to "trick" the system to think the door was opened and closed or the lights would say on until the batter died.
